Yo Gotti Signs Zillionaire Doe to CMG Record Label
Yo Gotti has welcomed another addition to the CMG family as Zillionaire Doe signs to the Memphis native’s imprint.
Billboard learned on Tuesday (Jan. 21) that the ink is dry on the deal with the burgeoning Dallas-bred rapper, who looked up to Gotti growing up.
“I’m really excited to work with Gotti and the CMG family,” Doe tells Billboard. “I looked up to him growing up, so it’s a full-circle experience. This is a special opportunity, so I’m just ready to work hard, learn from Gotti, put on for my hometown and become the next biggest artist out of Dallas.”
Doe pursued music following the tragic death of his close friend in 2022, who constantly nudged him about following his rap dreams. The 23-year-old artist began to pick up steam a year later when he shook up the local Dallas scene with his “D Boi Dreams” track.
“I really believe in Zillionaire Doe’s talent and hustle,” Gotti says. “He’s built organic buzz on his own, but now, we want to build the right team structure around him to maximize his full potential. With CMG’s foundation and resources, we feel like Doe can elevate to a new level and become a star.”
Doe continued to build on his success in 2024 when he picked up co-signs from Rod Wave, Future, Moneybagg Yo and GloRilla. He unleashed standout singles like the “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy”-sampling “Back to the South” along with projects such as Youngest Boss and his Montana 700 collab effort 70042.
