You Have to See This Taylor Swift-Themed Weather Report Ahead of Wales Eras Tour Stop
Thanks to one fearless weather reporter, Welsh Swifties got the best possible forecast ahead of Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour concert in Cardiff.
BBC Wales’ Sabrina Lee captivated fans Monday (June 17) — one day ahead of the pop star’s concert at Principality Stadium — when she sprinkled dozens of Swift song titles into her broadcast. “For the Taylor Swift concert, will the forecast be a ‘Love Story,’ or will the ‘Cruel Summer’ continue?” she began, dressed in a sparkly dress and pink eye shadow à la the singer’s Lover era.
“Last week in the arctic air mass, it felt like we’d gone ‘Back to December,'” Lee continued. “‘Don’t Blame Me!’ But since then, ‘Everything Has Changed.’ ‘Blank Space’ on the map does ‘Mean’ some ‘Gorgeous’ sunshine. High cloud giving some ‘Lavender Haze.'”
“Winds not too Swift and highs of around ‘Fifteen’ to ’22,’” she quipped, referencing the temperatures in Celsius. “At the stadium it should be ‘The Best Day’ and ‘Stay Stay Stay’ dry. But even if you do catch a shower I’m sure you’ll be ‘Fearless’ and just ‘Shake It Off.’ ‘Call it What You Want,’ but I’d say high pressure is the ‘Mastermind,’ which means we’re ‘Out of the Woods’ when it comes to ‘Treacherous’ conditions.”
“After the concert of your ‘Wildest Dreams,’ no ‘Midnight Rain’ — just a ‘Delicate’ breeze,” Lee concluded. “If you’re thinking about ‘Style,’ ‘The 1’ thing you need to remember is a ‘Cardigan’ as it cools down.”
At press time, Swift is already onstage performing her one and only Eras show in Wales — no doubt joined by thousands of fans who are well-prepared for the weather there, thanks to Lee. In a few days, the 14-time Grammy winner will spend three nights at London’s Wembley Stadium before traveling through Dublin and Amsterdam.
She previously set up shop in Liverpool, where she rang in the centennial show of her global trek. “We played our 100th show on The Eras Tour (which feels truly deranged to say because this show feels new to me every time we play it),” Swift wrote on Instagram afterward. “It’s been the adventure of a lifetime because of you.”
