Yung Filly accused of raping tourist in Magaluf after denying previous rape charges in Australia
British Rapper and YouTube star Yung Filly has been accused of raping a tourist in Magaluf.
Per a report from The Mirror, the 29-year-old internet personality is being investigated by a judge in the Majorcan capital Palma over the alleged sexual assault.
Today (March 24), it emerged that a British tourist had accused the ‘Grey’ rapper of forcing himself on her at an unnamed Magaluf hotel following a performance at an island holiday resort last summer.
The woman, believed to be aged around 20, reported him to authorities in Britain who passed on details of the allegation to those in Spain. It is not yet clear if the alleged victim has already been questioned by the judge in charge of the ongoing criminal probe.
The Majorcan court probe is being conducted behind closed doors as is standard in Spain, where only trials are held in public.
It comes after Colombian-born Filly – real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos – pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault only a fortnight ago.
He has been on bail since last October, following accusations of three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and four counts of sexual penetration without consent, with the alleged assault of a woman in her 20s taking place in a Perth hotel room on September 28, following the rapper’s performance at the Bar 120 nightclub on September 27.
Now, according to various reports by BBC, The Independent and Sky News, new court documents have shown that the rapper – real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos – pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. He has also pleaded not guilty to one count of strangulation and four counts of sexual penetration without consent.
He is set to appear before the state’s higher district court on June 13.
Last year, he released a joint single with Aitch titled ‘Grey’. His other collaborators include Chunkz and Geko.
Barrientos, who has 1.84million YouTube subscribers, won a MOBO Award in 2021 for Best Media Personality.
In 2018, he hosted the TV show Hot Property on BBC Three, and later presented the game show Yung Filly’s Celeb Lock-In. Additionally, Barrientos has made guest appearances on The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer on Channel 4 and Would I Lie To You? on BBC One.
He also played for England in the charity football match Soccer Aid in 2020, joining the likes of James Bay and Olly Murs on the team.
Following him being released on bail for the initial rape and assault charges last October, it was also reported that Yung Filly had been accused by police in Perth, Australia for reckless driving, after passing a speed camera at 158km/h (98mph) on a highway. He pleaded guilty to the driving charges in December.
