Zedd debuts on ‘Roblox’ with Virtual Beat Galaxy Experience
Zedd has collaborated with Roblox, where his new single, ‘Lucky’, from his upcoming album, ‘Telos’, can be listened to while playing a track runner rhythm game.
According to Pocket Tactics, you can also collect shards of Zedd’s album cover around the Beat Galaxy experience world to unlock a Valkyrie headpiece and the Zabb emote. Beat Galaxy is Universal Music Group‘s music hub on the platform. It was recently taken over by The Rolling Stones.
“I’ve met a lot of my best friends through gaming. Music can also be a huge part of the gaming experience, and music discovery is evolving with new platforms like Roblox,” Zedd said. “Beat Galaxy is just the beginning of this innovation. I’m grateful to be a part of Roblox, where fans can come together, play, and engage with one another virtually based on a shared love of music and gaming.”
“We built the virtual space to bridge the gap between the Roblox community and music fans worldwide,” said Yon Raz-Fridman, founder and CEO of Supersocial. “Since launching in late 2023, we’ve welcomed fans across genres and are excited to feature Zedd as the first electronic music artist taking over Beat Galaxy. We will continue to leverage Beat Galaxy to create new experiences that promote music discovery, community, and self-expression.”
If you play Beat Galaxy, you can also use it to pre-save Zedd’s album directly to your Spotify account. This is the first time the feature has been implimented in Roblox.
Roblox has had frequent collaborations with brands and musicians. It’s had the likes of Lil Nas X, Elton John, Nicki Minaj, and a K-pop concert.
In other news, the original Alan Wake is going to have David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ removed amid micensing issues.
